Legal Webinar: Countering Workplace Wellness Bias through Wellness-Legal Partnerships

All Other Resources, Legal and Ethical Principles, Wellness Alliance Events

Tuesday, June 11, 10:00-11:00 AM CT

Featuring: Barbara Zabawa, JD, MPH • Attorney/President, Center for Health and Wellness Law, LLC

Workplace wellness programs are often biased against racial, religious and ability diversity. In this webinar, we will highlight how that bias presents itself in typical workplace wellness programs, such as wellness activities like yoga and mindfulness, as well as healthy eating programs and biometric screens. Ignoring these biases not only can lead to legal action, but also disengagement by program participants. Learn how an innovative use of employee assistance programs can help counteract that bias in the form of wellness-legal partnerships. Time will be reserved for attendee questions.
